About Research into Results

Research Into Results' (RIR) principal activity is the delivery of research and project management services in the area of international development. This specifically includes assisting projects and funders to enhance impact from academic research.

Research Into Results has particular expertise in working with research partnerships linking the Department for International Development (DFID) and the UKs Research Councils, including the development and implementation of services to enhance both impact and value for money of collaborative programmes.

RIR Current Projects

Research Into Results Limited, led by Professor Paul van Gardingen, UNESCO Chair of International Development, currently hosts the Directorate for the UKs Ecosystem Services for Poverty Alleviation (ESPA) Programme and the Senior Advisory Team (SAT) for the ESRC-DFID Joint Scheme for Research on International Development (Poverty Alleviation).

Exit the station via the Waverley Steps on to Princes Street and turn right, or for step-free access, exit on to Waverley Bridge, turn right and turn right again at Princes Street. Freedom of Information Publication Scheme

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 requires Scottish public authorities to produce and maintain a publication scheme.

As a subsidiary company of the University of Edinburgh, Research into Results Limited (RiR) has adopted the Model Publication Scheme 2015 produced by the Scottish Information Commissioner.

This scheme has the Commissioner's approval until 31 May 2019.
